Introduce Gund
I believe that many people’s childhood desire is to have a bunch of plush toys to accompany them. The company I want to introduce to you is also a company related to plush toys. Gun is a Canadian-owned plush toy manufacturer. The company is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, and has operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, Australia and South America. Gund is currently run by the third-generation family owner Bruce Raiffe, whose grandfather Jacob Swedlin bought the company from the original founder (Adolph Gund) in 1925.
The company is known for its Teddy Bear series and has signed licensing agreements with companies such as Walt Disney Company, Sesame Workshop, Ugly Doll, The World's Cutest Dog, Grumpy Cat, Cartoon Network, and Pushien. In its 125 years of history, it has won many awards and is also the cover of the United States Postal Service stamp. Gund is headquartered in Edison, New Jersey and is currently a division of Spin Master, which Spin Master acquired from Enesco in March 2018. In the 1980s, China became one of the main sources of Gund toys.
